Turbine, Inc. developed massive multi-player Role Playing Games for the internet, supporting thousands of simultaneous players and providing a social structure for player-to-player interaction. All games were built around a proprietary high-speed graphics engine, offering a real-time view into a 3-D virtual world. Microsoft published Turbine’s first game, “Asheron’s Call.” In November 2002, Microsoft released “Asheron’s Call 2 – Fallen Kings.”
