We, as consumers of electronic products, have become accustomed to the ever-decreasing product lifecycle. New computers, cell phones, video game consoles as well as other devices come to market at an ever-increasing rate, rendering the devices that we presently own obsolete and out of fashion.
Behind the scenes, in the marketplace's demand for smaller, faster, cheaper, newer and cooler devices, the electronic components that are the backbone of these end-user devices are also rendered obsolete. And in many cases, obsolete before the end of their technological lifecycle.
