The Salvation Army Selects E Team’s Emergency Management Solution For Nationwide Deployment

E Team’s Software Is Now Available To Improve And Accelerate The Salvation Army’s Disaster And Emergency Response Efforts Across the United States

LOS ANGELES, CA – June17, 2003 – E Team, the proven, market-leading provider of collaborative software for emergency and event management, announced today that The Salvation Army has purchased E Team’s solution to enhance their Disaster Services operations across the United States.  E Team is now available to support disaster response and ongoing support services, such as managing volunteers and tracking donations.

“We realized the value E Team could bring to our operations on a national scale after seeing the company’s collaboration software in action at the State of Arizona Emergency Operations Center. We also had the opportunity to use the system as a member of the emergency response team in New York City’s Emergency Operations Center following the 9/11 disaster,” said Major Dalberg, Services Coordinator, National Disaster Services at The Salvation Army. “With E Team deployed, we will be able to improve the efficiency of our entire organization, including administering care to people affected by an emergency, on-site coordination at disaster areas, and managing our volunteers and donations effectively.”

E Team software enables The Salvation Army to harness the power of teamwork throughout its U.S. operations. By deploying E Team at the scene of a disaster, The Salvation Army will be able to collaborate and coordinate efforts up and down the entire chain of command within the organization and with supporting agencies. This provides all team members with the information they need to prioritize activities, identify and allocate resources and volunteers, and support the necessary decisions for a successful and speedy recovery.

“By incorporating E Team’s emergency management system nationwide, we will be able to run our operations more efficiently, which will ensure we continue to deliver quality assistance,” added Major Dalberg.

“The Salvation Army has played a critical role in responding to disasters in our country for over a hundred years,” said Lewis H. Stanton, president and CEO of E Team. “Their long-term experience, combined with their desire to adopt emerging standards in order to deliver quality service is another validation of E Team’s strength and status in the industry.”

In addition to relief for disaster victims, The Salvation Army provides food for the hungry, companionship to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, opportunities for underprivileged children, assistance for the disabled, as well as many more services.
